Job statuses & colours
What each job status colour on the calendar and jobs list means.
Every job carries a status, and every status carries a colour - so a glance at the calendar or jobs list tells you where a job stands without opening it.
Colours are configurable, not fixed
Unlike some scheduling tools, job status colours in Tradie aren’t hard-coded to a fixed meaning (there’s no built-in rule that “red always means urgent”). Instead, each tenant configures their own set of statuses and picks a colour for each one - see Job statuses in Settings. This means the colour scheme on your calendar matches the workflow your business actually uses, whether that’s a simple Not Started → In Progress → Complete flow or something more detailed.
Where colours show up
- The calendar - each booking is shaded by the current status of its job.
- The jobs list - each row shows a small status indicator alongside the job.
- Job details - the Status field shows the status name in full.
Statuses drive the Pending/Progress split too
Behind the scenes, each status is also flagged as “work in progress” or “completed”. This is what the jobs list’s Pending, Progress and Admin toggle and completion filtering are built on - a job disappears from the active lists once it reaches one of your configured completed statuses.
