Jobs: Pending, Progress, Admin
What a job is in Tradie, and what Pending, Progress and Admin mean.
Every piece of work in Tradie is a job - synced from your ERP or raised directly in the Scheduler. The jobs list sorts them into three simple buckets so you always know what still needs doing.
The three buckets
The toggle at the top of the jobs list - Pending / Progress / Admin - switches between three different views of the same underlying job data:
- Pending - jobs that aren’t finished, aren’t flagged as admin, and have no booking on the calendar yet. This is your “still needs dispatching” queue.
- Progress - jobs that already have at least one booking (allocation) against them, so they’re on the calendar somewhere but not yet complete.
- Admin - jobs someone has deliberately flagged as an admin job (right-click a job in the list and choose Toggle is Admin job). These are kept out of the Pending and Progress queues so day-to-day dispatching isn’t cluttered with internal or non-fieldwork jobs.
A job only ever needs to move forward through this - from Pending, to booked (Progress), to complete - and it drops off the list once its status reaches one of your configured “completed” statuses.
Where jobs come from
Jobs come from your accounting system, and you can also raise one directly from the Scheduler - see Create a job.
Infusion Online syncs automatically. New jobs appear in the jobs list in real time - no refresh needed - thanks to a live connection back to your ERP (see Company info for how this connection is set up).
Infusion Elite runs on a server at your own site, so the Scheduler reaches it through the Tradie connector installed there rather than over a live link to a hosted service. Jobs are fetched when a screen asks for them, so a job entered in Infusion shows up the next time the list is loaded or refreshed rather than appearing by itself.
The jobs list covers today’s jobs. To find work scheduled for another day, use the calendar or a search rather than scrolling this list.
If the connector at your site is stopped or offline, the Scheduler cannot reach Infusion at all - the lists will be empty rather than out of date. That is the first thing to check when a screen that normally has data comes up blank.
