Push notifications
Turn on notifications so new bookings and messages reach your phone, and review them later.
With notifications on, the office’s messages and booking changes pop up on your phone even when Tradie is closed. Everything you receive is also kept on the Notifications screen.
Turning them on
After you sign in, an Enable notifications button floats near the bottom of the screen. Tap it and allow notifications when your phone asks.
If you dismissed it, turn them on in Settings instead.
Step by step: turn notifications on from Settings
- Tap the gear to open Settings.
- Open Permissions.
- Tap the notifications button to enable them.
- Allow notifications when your phone asks.
On an iPhone, add Tradie to your Home Screen first - Safari’s share button, then Add to Home Screen - and open it from there. iPhones only deliver notifications to apps opened that way.
The Notifications screen
Tap Notifications on the home screen to see what you have received, newest first.
- Swipe left on one to remove it.
- Clear All removes them all.
When there is nothing, it says No notifications yet.
Worklog reminders
Separately, Worklog Reminders under Permissions sends a reminder at 6pm if you started work on a job and have not stopped it. It is easy to forget Stop Work at the end of the day; this catches it.
Turning them off
Use the same notifications button under Permissions, or turn notifications off for Tradie in your phone’s own settings.
Troubleshooting
- Nothing arrives. Check notifications are allowed for Tradie in your phone’s settings, and on an iPhone that you opened Tradie from the Home Screen.
- There is no Notifications button on the home screen. Your company has not turned notifications on.
