The Dashboard home screen
An at-a-glance home screen showing your hours, your next job and your favourite modules.
Dashboard is an alternative to the classic list of buttons on the home screen. It puts the three things you check most often - your hours today, your next booked job, and the modules you use most - on one screen, without any tapping through.
Turning it on
Dashboard is opt-in, and the choice is yours alone - it does not change what any other technician sees.
Step by step: switch to Dashboard
- Open Settings.
- Under Home screen, tap Dashboard.
- Go back to the home screen to see it.
Tap Classic list at any time to go back to the plain list of buttons.
Once Dashboard is on, the cog in the header on every screen becomes a hamburger menu. That menu is now where Settings and Logout live, alongside every module you’d otherwise find as a button on the classic home screen.
Your hours
The card at the top greets you by name and shows two figures: hours logged today and hours logged this week. Both update as soon as a timesheet entry is added, whichever screen it was added from.
Tap the card to open Timesheets.
Your next job
Below your hours, NEXT JOB shows the single booking coming up soonest - or the one you’re in the middle of, if a job is currently running. It carries a countdown, the date, the time, the job name and its code, and the site address with a map pin you can tap to open directions.
Tap anywhere else on the card to open that job. When nothing is booked, it says No upcoming jobs.
Admin jobs never appear here - it is about your next real booking.
Adding items to the dashboard
The grid at the bottom holds shortcuts to the modules you use most, so you don’t have to open the hamburger menu for everyday things like Purchase Orders or Materials.
Step by step: add a favourite
- Tap + in the favourites grid, or open the hamburger menu directly.
- Find the module in the list.
- Tap the star beside it.
The star fills in and the tile appears on your dashboard immediately. Tap a filled star again to remove that tile.
A handful of modules - Timesheets and your bookings - are starred for you from the start. After that, the grid is entirely yours: nothing is added or removed on your behalf, even if your business turns a module on or off later.
