Add photos to a job
Take or choose photos on the job's Create tab and upload them for the office.
Photos go on the job, not on individual material lines. Add them on the job’s Create tab, give each one a note if it helps, and upload them. The office sees them against the job.
Step by step: add photos to a job
- Open the job and go to the Create tab.
- Scroll to Image Attachments.
- Tap Add Image(s), then take a photo or choose some from your phone.
- Type a note under any photo that needs explaining.
- Tap Upload Image(s).
Each photo can be up to 8 MB after the app has resized it, which covers anything a phone camera takes.
Photos and materials
A materials or purchase order record has no photos of its own. If a photo is about a part - what was fitted, or the label on it - add it to the job as above and say which part in its note.
Seeing what is already there
Photos already on the job show under Image Attachments. Tap Refetch attachments to check for any added since you opened the job, and Load more if there are more than fit. Files that are not photos, such as PDFs, are covered in Open a file attached to the job.
Without signal
Photos you add offline are kept on the phone and uploaded when you are back in coverage. They take up space on the phone until then.
Tips
- Take the photo square-on and close enough to read any label or serial number.
- A short note such as “Before” or “Meter reading” saves the office guessing.
