Overview
Job Fields fills in details from the job the form is completed on - job number, description, customer, site and order number. The technician never types them, and they are always right.
Step by step: add the job’s details
- Select the section it belongs in - usually the first.
- Click Job Fields under + Add Fields.
- Under Job details to show, choose which details appear and use the arrows to order them.
Its own settings
- Job details to show - any of Job Number, Job Description, Customer Name, Site Location and Order Number, in the order you set.
- Hide job summary details in report output - fill the details in on the phone but leave them off the report.
On the phone and the report
On the phone the details fill themselves in when the form is opened from a job, with a note that the team member does not need to type them. The report prints them like any other answers.
Why it matters
- Saving to the job. A form needs a Job Fields field, or to be placed on a job’s tab, before Save a copy of the completed report to the job can be ticked in its Availability.
- Finding it later. Completed forms can be searched by job and customer in the Scheduler’s Completed Forms window.
Job Fields cannot go in a Data Table.
On a quote layout
A quote layout has two more fields that work the same way: Quote Fields and Company Fields, each with a list of details to show. They are filled in when the quote is printed.
