Create a task
Put a dated reminder on your own list or somebody else's, and convert it later.
Raise a task for anything you need to come back to. Give it a due date and time, and it appears on the right day in the Tasks list and on the Scheduler’s calendar.
Step by step: create a task
- Click New Task in the nav.
- Enter the Title - this is what shows in the list and on the calendar.
- Add a Note with the detail.
- Set the Due Date and Due Time.
- Choose Assign To. It defaults to Myself; pick a colleague to put it on their list instead.
- Attach a Customer, and a Customer Item if the task is about a particular piece of their equipment.
- Tick Repeat if it comes round regularly, then set the Frequency and unit.
- Click Create Task.
The task appears in the Tasks list under its due date, at Pending.
Turning a task into a lead
When a task turns out to be real work, open it and click Convert to Lead. Tradie creates the lead using the task’s title as the work title and its note as the work required, carries the customer and item across, and opens the new lead so you can add the value and dates.
The task itself is not deleted. It stays in the list marked Done, showing which lead it became, so you can see where leads are coming from.
Converting one occurrence of a repeating task converts only that occurrence. The series carries on.
Creating a task from the Scheduler
A dispatcher raises one from the hamburger menu’s New Sales Task, filling in the same fields and choosing which sales person it goes to under Assigned To.
